Random acts of kindness

As you are reading these words, take the time to think about the world around you. When was the last time you paid attention to everything that surrounds you for what they are and not as objects that are getting in the way of your final destination?

I don’t blame you. We live in the NOW generation. We live in the society where your expressions cannot exceed 160 characters.

The media is constantly planting seeds in minds that tell them to be successful by any means necessary.

By adulthood, these seeds grow into selfishness. We’ve been conditioned to be selfish.

Although I do agree with worrying about yourself and doing what needs to be done in order to be successful, it does sadden me to see that most of today’s society does not care that there are other humans living on this planet, in this city, in their very own neighborhoods.

So far, you must be thinking this blog is going to be all about the decline of community. Don’t worry; I’m not that cynical.

Actually, this blog is a praise.

Every single day, there is someone, somewhere, doing something kind for OTHER people that go unnoticed.

These random acts of kindness in no way, shape or form benefit the person committing them. It’s only to benefit someone else.

The Bull staff will pay attention to everything that surrounds me to notice these random acts of kindness. We will write about what someone did and what people’s reactions were around them.

Besides, isn’t it popular belief that if someone notices something kind, they will most likely go out and do something kind for someone else?

Stay tuned and stay positive. Until next time…
