Silence in a crowded Los Angeles speakeasy is broken by loud chatter and the sounds of jazz and drinks being mixed. The year is 1928 and mob and political leaders gather in a single establishment with struggling actors and a fortune teller among a variety of characters. After a brief introduction, the presidential suite on the top floor of the Hilton Orange County in Costa Mesa becomes center stage for Live Action Role Players. The Monsieur Beauregard’s 1920s Speakeasy event was one of the initial role playing events that helped kickoff the first Wyrd Con on June 11.
