No knead to look farther than Pastries by Edie

Once entering the vine floral gates to the patio surrounded by scenic murals, the noise of busy Sherman Way disappears to this little slice of Europe called Pastries by Edie.

The full-service bakery contains several golden glass cases with hundreds of different types of patterned pastry desserts.

Don’t be alarmed when choosing which creation to consumer first. The mouthwatering fruit tart won’t disappoint. It’s topped with vibrant colored sliced fruits covered in sugar, a cream filling and a crunchy cookie base that makes the mini pastry easier to handle.

In addition to pastries, Edie’s serves everything from baby mixed green chicken salads to grilled chicken campagnolo sandwiches.

As a main course, the tuna panini is paired with sun-dried tomato spread that compliments the dryness of the bread, which is spiced and smeared with mayonnaise.

There are about 28 different flavored cakes. An elegant and well-crafted eight-inch cake can serve eight to 10 people. The cake can be picked up on location with out notice.

Cakes larger that eight inches will need to be pre-ordered and there will be an additional charge for theme-decorated cakes for events such as, baby showers or weddings.

There isn’t any Wi-Fi connection, creating an atmosphere that is different from most coffee hangouts.

Seating is limited, with seven tables being inside and four tables in the front patio.

Along with supplying food to the bakery, the kitchen also delivers to country clubs, caterers and hotels. The bakery is open seven days a week with the acceptation of a few holidays.
