Michelle Back, 20, has been going to Pierce College for two and a half years. Originally a biology major, she changed to Broadcast Journalism because she has been interested in that industry since she was a child.
Born in Sylmar, Calif. she currently resides in Van Nuys, Calif.
“Technically it is Lake Balboa, but I’m new to the area and everyone tells me it is just Van Nuys,” Back said.
Her taboo topic for the magazine is inter-generational relationships.
“I thought it would be interesting to others to see where they are coming from and to understand more about it,” Back said.
Although she is confident with the topic, she has come across some challenges as well.
“Finding someone and then having them reveal themselves is difficult,” Back said.
She is hopeful that she will find success with the article, and be able to portray her topic in the best manner.
“I hope to help people be more accepting of those kinds of relationships,” Back said.
