One is the loneliest Brony

I had done it. I had found a Brony. His name was Trinidad Gomez, and he was one of the administrators of the “Meetup” that I had gone to.

His story of how he was in deep depression when he found the fandom was becoming common among Bronies that I had met. Shy at first, Gomez let others share their story before opening up.

He recalled how he didn’t have a social life, but that the fandom had introduced him to people he now considers friends. His friendships soon led to a Youtube channel  In which him and his friends reviewed My Little Pony episodes and talked about other related events.

The meetup also introduced Sarah Thunell to people she might soon call friends.
Thunell herself was introduced to the fandom by her older brother who had found music created by Bronies on the Internet.
Far from her brother who lives in Washington,  Thunell found the meetup online and decided to check it out. She expresses her love of My Little Pony mostly through crafts that she makes for herself and as gifts for others.
I was surprised to see so many people at the meetup. It was my first time going to anything like this,  and expected to be ignored because I didn’t share the passion that they did.  However, they were very welcoming and answered all the questions I had. They shared pictures and stories with me, many of which were personal.
I look forward to getting to know them better,  until then…
