From Flap to Fab

Sean Oliver has not always been the 6’4, 242 pounds muscle man he is today. The bodybuilder who has won titles such as Mr. Fitness, Mr. Los Angeles and Mr. California was once a 310 pound teenager.

“I lost 140 pounds” Sean said.

The Pierce College student, at the age of 16 began his journey in fitness. Oliver started working out the summer of 10thgrade. He began cutting off soda from his diet and continued with junk food and excessive eating.

“Growing up as a kid, I use to go through the 2 liters bottles of soda” Oliver explains, “I used to eat fried chicken for breakfast.”

The results were mind blowing. The following fall when Oliver returned to school he no longer resembled the man he used to be.

“People that didn’t respect me because I was fat changed over night.” Oliver shared.

It was not an easy thing to do for Oliver, but very rewarding once he reached his goal. He hopes to be an inspiration for other people trying to become healthier.

“I want to be an inspirational speaker, more than anything” Sean said.

Oliver definitely is an inspiration, after loosing 140 pounds he finally looks like the person he always felt like he was. Keep up the good work Mr. California!
